WNMC is the community public radio service of Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, broadcasting great music from around the world and around the corner, including jazz, world music, alternative rock, blues , roots and more.
Sandy arrived in West Hall as a student in 1963, and he never left. In between his first arrival and the beginning of his tenure at WNMC in 2005, Sandy worked in construction, the ski industry and played in several local bands in Traverse City (Red Ball Jets, Zebra Muscles, Blind Dog Hank). Currently Sandy plays dobro in the bluegrass band Sour Mash. Sandy's many local & musical connections serve him well on his Friday show, Local Motion. You can also catch Sandy on the Wednesday edition of American Crossroads and on the Monday edition of Mornings on WNMC.

Afternoon Jazz – Jazz with a mix of blues, world, soul/r&b, folk/americana and who knows?
Evening Rock – Best of the latest alternative, garage/psych, power pop, nu gaze, etc. with a nugget or two thrown in.
