DJ Daddy Spleece of Reality Sound International, a reggae and dancehall radio, club, festival, and clash selector, started on KFSR, Fresno in 1994. He was the creator of and webmaster for FresnoReggae.com, webmaster for JahWorks.org (V2.0), and also hosted ‘Turning Tower on Its Dread’ on Tower Free Radio and ‘Roots Carnival’ on Satellite Radio Bilingue’s internationally simulcast network for twelve years before relocating to Santa Cruz in 2008. In Fresno, he co-hosted a weekly party every day of the week for eleven years and also brought internationally touring live reggae acts at least once a month. He has clashed other reggae sounds such as Jah Warrior Shelter Hi Fi, Broken Silence, Lone Star, and beat Tribes of Kings Sound from San Diego in San Francisco in 2010, as well as TNT sound from Oakland in Chico in 2019. He co-hosted Free-Up Fridays with 1Wize Sound, a past, but very successful dancehall weekly in Santa Cruz. He’s played at Sierra Nevada World Music Festival for 22 years! Webmaster of SantaCruzReggae.com, he hosts several successful club events in Santa Cruz regularly. He co-hosts, promotes, and opens for most of the live reggae performances that come through Moe’s Alley, Santa Cruz. He currently hosts ‘All Fruits Ripe’ on KZSC 88.1FM every Tuesday morning from 9am-12noon, and ‘Up Like 7’ on KSQD 90.7FM every Sunday night from 10pm-12midnight.
